abstract 2031526 9013414 PCTABS00002 A dunnage producing machine converts multi-ply paper stock (12) into cushioning dunnage (P). The machine draws in the web stock and rolls the edges inwardly. The stock passes between a pair of gear-like members (30) which mesh together to coin the material by fastening together the inwardly rolled edges. The gear-like members have projections (66) on their teeth which perforate the stock layers to assist in maintaining the product in its pad-like form.
