abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a spinneret, the spinning plate formed With the spinning capillaries and orifices constituted as a multiplicity of small plates pressed into stepped bores of a highly rigid support plate which can have a thickness independent of that of the capillary plates and can be composed of an appropriately hard material without limiting the density (number of capillaries per unit area) of the capillaries. For that purpose the small plates may be composed of softer material.
