abstract The present invention relates to a new preparation process of thermostable copolymers comprising in their structure units of recurrence formed from imide-amide and diorganopolysiloxane groups. More specifically, these copolymers are obtained by reaction direct in solvent medium: - a diisocyanate of formula: OCN NCO (I) with A = valential bond or a divalent radical; - a tricarboxylic acid monanhydride of formula: HOOC - (II) with B = trivalent aromatic radical; - and a siloxane diisocyanate of formula: (III) with D = divalent hydrocarbon radical of alkylaromatic nature which can contain one or more heteroatoms, R1 to R8 = hydrocarbon radical, and x + y = number ranging from 0 to 100.
