abstract | Abstract of the Disclosure The invention is concerned with a method for manufaturing a polyamide resin having double bonds in its main chain and comprising repeated units of the formula (I): [-Ar1-CR1=CR2-CO-NR3-R4-NR3-CO-CR2=CR1-] (I) wherein Ar1 is a bivalent aromatic radical, R1, R2 and R3, identical or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or a univalent aromatic or aliphatic radical and R4 is a bivalent aromatic or aliphatic radical, the polyamide resin having a reduced viscosity (?sp/c) of 0.1 - 5.0 dl/g at a concentration of 0.5 g/dl in N,N-dimethylacetamide at 30°C. The method according to the invention is charac-terized in that a bis-alkenoic amide having the general formula (II): CHR1=CR2-CO-NR3-R4-NR3-CO-CR2=CHR1 (II) wherein R1, R2 and R3, identical or different, each represent a hydrogen atom or a univalent aromatic or aliphatic radical and R4 is a bivalent aromatic or aliphatic radical, is reacted with an aromatic dihalide of the general formula (III): X-Ar1-X (III) wherein Ar1 is a bivalent aromatic radical and X is a halogen atom, in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a base in an organic solvent. |
