1,4-DIHYDRO-4-(NITRO)PHENYL-3,5-PYRIDINECARBOXYLATES INCORPORATING AN ALKYLAMINOALKYLENE-HETEROATOM GROUP MOIETY ON ONE OF THE CARBOXYLATE GROUPS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention concerns compounds of the formula (I) and the acid addition salts of these substances. The compounds of the present invention can exist as optical isomers and both racemic mixtures of these isomers, as well as the individual optical isomers themselves are within the scope of the present invention. The compounds of this invention have been found to possess several useful pharmacological properties, including calcium ion blockerage activity, inhibition of ischemia-induced tissue injury and inhibition of blood platelet aggregation. |
