Abstract The present invention is directed to a compound of the formula: wherein X is a halogen atom and Y is a C1-C4 alkyl group, a C2-C4 alkenyl group, a C1-C3 alkoxy group, a C3-C4 alkenyl-oxy group, a C3-C4 alkynyloxy group, a C2-C3 alkenyl group substituted with phenyl, a C3-C4 alkenyloxy group sub-stituted with halogen, a C1-C3 alkoxy group substituted with one member selected from the group consisting of halogen, C1-C3 alkoxy, C1-C3 alkanoyl, cyano, hydroxycarbonyl, C1-C3 alkylaminocarbonyl and phenyl, or a group of the formula: -CH2O-R1, -CH=CH-R2, -CH=N-R3 or -CO-R4 in which R1 is a C1-C3 alkyl group, a C3-C4 alkenyl group or a C3-C4 alkynyl group, R2 is a cyano group, a methoxycarbonyl group or an acetyl group, R3 is a dimethylamino group or a phenyl group and R4 is a C1-C2 alkyl group, which is useful as a fungi-cidal agent against phytopathogenic fungi, particularly their strains resistant to benzimidazole or thiophanate fungicides and/or cyclic imide fungicides. |
