abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is disclosed novel colorless ferric di-alkylphosphates of the general formula Fe[OOP(OR)2]3?X or Fe[OOP(OR)2]3 in which each R is independently a branched chain alkyl group and X is an anion selected from F-, PF6-, BF4-, Ph4B-, NO3-, C14H29SO4-. These compounds react with chelates to give intense and dark colored results and find utility in thermographic materials.
