COMPOSITE ABSORBENT STRUCTURES ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to composite absorbent struc-tures suitable for incorporation into absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, diapers, training pants and the like. Such structures comprise webs of entangled blown microfibers, substan-tially non-absorbent crimped staple fibers, particles of certain types of hydrogel-forming polymeric gelling agents and hydro-philizing agent. Such composite web structures of this construc-tion have especially desirable comfort, integrity and absorbency characteristics. |
