titleOfInvention | Mixed crystals of laked azo dyes |
abstract | 3-16117/+ Mixed crystals of laked azo dyes ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Mixed crystals of at least two different compounds of formula I (I), wherein R is -CH3, phenyl, -COOCH3, -COOCH3, -COOC2H5, -NHCO-C1-C4 alkyl or -CONH-C1-C4 alkyl, M+ and M1+ are each independently of the other an alkali metal cation, an alkaline earth metal cation or a heavy metal cation or NH4+; wherein X, Y, X' and Y' are each inde-pendently hydrogen, halogen, -CH3, -C2H5, -OCH3, -OC2H5, -NO2 or the group of formula -NHCO-C1-C4 alkyl, wherein at least two of the cations M+ and M1+ in the compounds forming the mixed crystals of formula I are different and the X-ray diffraction patterns of the mixed crystals differ from the X-ray diffraction patterns of the individual components and of their sum. Such mixed crystals are most suitable as pigments for colouring high molecular organic material and are distinguished in particular by surprisingly high colour strength and pure shade. |
