abstract ABSTRACT An apparatus for measuring the gas, vapour, or aerosol component of a test gas in which the component that is to be indicated is absorbed in a reaction solution and in which on the basis of a reaction between the component and the reaction solution, a change in resistance is determined as a measured value, this being done with the help of electrodes in the reaction solution and with a resistance measuring system, the test gas entering a test chamber through a sealing element that is permeable for the medium to be indicated and impermeable to the reaction solution is to be improved from the point of view of universal applicability and in order to increase the conduct of the measuring process. According to the present invention, this is done in that the reaction solution is arranged in a test container that can be inserted as a disposable element into the measuring system, so as to be replaceable, this test container accommodating the electrodes and being closed off at at least one end with a sealing element that is permeable for the medium that is to be indicated and impermeable for the reaction solution.
