ESTEVE, SA Invention of: FRIGOLA CONSTANSA, Jordi COLOMBO PINOL, Augusto PARES COROMINAS, Juan ABSTRACT DESCRIPTION Benzimidazole-2-sulfonamide derivatives and imidazopyridine-2-sulfonamide with the formula general I I and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, in particular formula in which: Z1 to Z4 represent a nitrogen atom or an atom of substituted or unsubstituted carbon, R1 and R2 represent a hydrogen atom, a radical alkyl, alkylaryl, alkylcarbonylalkyle, alkylcarbo-nylaryl, alkylcarbonylheteroaryl, cycloalkyl, carboxyalkyl, acyl, nitro, or R1 to R2 can together form a bond represented by a group X; R3 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl radical, aryl, heteroaryl, alkylaryl, hydroxyalkyl, alkyl-heteroaryl, mono-, bi- or tricycloalkyl, alkylamino, N-alkyl-alkylamino, alkylcarboxyalkyle, acyl, al-kylthio (or sulfinyl, or sulfonyl) alkyl, alkylthio (or sulfinyl, or sulfonyl) aryl, alkylthio (or sul-finyl, or sulfonyl) heteroaryl, alkylthio (or sulfi-nyl, or sulfonyl) alkylaryl, alkylthio (or sulfinyl, or sulfonyl) alkylheteroaryl, haloalkyl, cyanoalkyl, N-alkylaryl-alkylamino, N-alkyl-N-alkylaryl-alkylami-no, N, N-dialkyl-alkylamino, alkylpiperazinyl, alkyl-piperidinyl or alkylmorpholinyl; X represents - (CH R8) n- (CH R9) m- or -CR8 = CR9-; R8 and R9 represent a hydrogen atom, a radical lower alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl.
