abstract |
ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention discloses a novel deproteinized polysaccharide RON substance which contains glucose as the sole sugar constituent. It is composed solely of linear alpha-1,6 glucoside linkage in the linear part of the saccharide and has a small amount of 3,6 branched structure. The substance is useful as a substituent in a pharmaceutical composition which is effective in inhibiting the growth of transplantable tumours and is effective in potentiating the host defense ability against infectious micoorganisms. |
