ABSTRACT There is provided an oral pharmaceutical containing benzonatate. Ordinarily the latter produces severe local anaesthesia of the oral mucosa. This effect is reduced by incorporating substantially all of the benzonatate in the oil phase of an oil-in-water emulsion. |
