titleOfInvention | Acid-curable composition containing a masked curing catalyst, and a process for the curing thereof |
abstract | Acid-curable composition containing a masked curing catalyst, and a process for the curing thereof Abstract Compounds of the formula I and II I II in which R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6, X, Y and n are as defined in claim 1, are latent curing catalysts for acid-curable stoving lacquers. They are distinguished by satisfactory solubility in the acid-curable resin sys-tems, can be stored virtually indefinitely in the dark and, when exposed to shortwave light, make it possible to cure the resins by acid catalysis at a relatively low temperature. |
