titleOfInvention Electric flat-iron provided with an automatic safety device
abstract ABSTRACT: "Electric flat-iron provided with an automatic safety device". The invention relates to an electric flat-iron provided with an automatic safety device comprising a movable body which moves in a substantially horizontal position when the iron is moved during ironing. The iron is characterized in that the movable body cooperates with a switch controlling a timing circuit which causes the power supply to be interrupted after a predetermined time interval shorter than the time required by the iron to reach its normal operatng temperature and in that the movable body cooperates with another switch when the flat-iron is placed in a substantially vertical warming-up or waiting position, said other switch controlling another timing circuit which causes the power supply to be interrupt-ed after another predetermined time interval of non-use longer than the time required by the iron to reach its normal operating temperature. Use: Flat-irons. Suitable for abridgement: Figure 1.
