abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Antitumor-active (1,2-diphenyl-ethylene-diamine)-platinum (II) complexes having the general formula I wherein R7 represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl and R2 either represents a halogen atom and the radicals R1, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, halogen, tri-halomethyl, C1-C6 alkyl, hydroxy, C1-C6 alkoxy or a C2-C6 alkanoyl-oxy group substituted, when required, by halogen or C1-C4-alkane-sulphonyloxy or wherein R2 represents a hydroxy group, a C1-C6 alkoxy group, a C2-C6 alkanoyl-oxy group in the 4-position which may be substituted by halogen or C1-C4 alkane sulphonyl oxy and in this case the radicals R1 and R3, which are identical or different, are in the 2- and 6-position of the phenyl radical and represent halogen, trihalomethyl, C1-C6 alkyl, hydroxy, C1-C6 alkoxy or an alkanoyl-oxy group substituted, when required, by halogen or C1-C4 alkane sul-phonyloxy, and in case that R3 represents halogen, trihalo-methyl or C1-C6 alkyl R1 can also represent hydrogen and the radicals R4, R5 and R6 are identical or different and repre-sent hydrogen, halogen, trihalomethyl, C1-C6 alkyl, hydroxy, C1-C6 alkoxy or a C2-C6 alkanoyl-oxy group substituted, when required, by halogen or C1-C4 alkane sulphonyl oxy, and X represents the equivalent of a physiologically compatible anion. |
