abstract TITLE BRANCHED COPOLYETHERKETONES ABSTRACT Novel branched copolyetherketones comprising condensation products of diphenyl ether, aromatic acid halides and trifunctional comonomers selected from m-diphenoxybenzene and compounds of the formula R-(COX)n where R is an aromatic moiety, X is halogen and n is 3-6, are disclosed. The copolyetherketones may be used in the form of shaped articles prepared from the melt phase by extrusion, injection moulding, compression moulding or other convenient means. The article include films, audio and magnetic tape buse, filaments, mechanical and electrical parts, and coatings.
