titleOfInvention | Manufacturing process for aluminium alloy die-cast cylinders |
abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to improvements in the manufacturing process for aluminum alloy die-cast cylinders, particularly for use in two stroke engines. The cylinder is made in two die-cast alluminum parts, one first being the upper compression area and the second being the lower piston guiding area. The housing in the upper portion and the lower portion are then turned followed by assembly of the two parts with maximum interference when hot or cold, thus obtaining a cylinder of the same conditions as the one moulded in shell or at low pressure. This is then followed by the machining, hard chromium plating and inner finish with maximum precision and a surface quality of optimum fineness. Good thermal conductivity values are thus obtained which increases the performance of the cylinder when compared to the prior art devices. |
