titleOfInvention | Electrostatic development process |
abstract | ABSTRACT This invention is directed to an improved process for developing electrostatic latent images comprising (1) providing a development zone situated between an imaging member and a transporting member, comprised of a stationary shell containing rotating magnets therein, (2) transporting synthetic developer composition into the development zone by causing rotation of the magnets in the stationary shell, (3) effecting movement of the imaging member in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of the rotating magnets, wherein the developer composition is desirably agitated in the development zone by magnetic means, and wherein developer particles are available immediately adjacent the imaging member; the developer particles comprised of toner resin particles and carrier particles comprised of resin particles and magnetite; with the distance between the imaging member and stationary shell being from about 0.1 millimeter to about 1.5 millimeters. |
