titleOfInvention Implantable biological tissue and process for preparation thereof
abstract ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A process for the preparation of implantable biological tissue and in particular bioprosthetic heart valves, which are prone to calcification after implantation. The process includes treatment of tissue with a hypophosphated isotonic solution prior to implantation which has been found effective in reducing calcification of the implanted tissue. The solution contains a physiologically acceptable salt of a divalent cation other than calcium.
