abstract | ABSTRACT New compounds of the formula (I) wherein n is 1 or 2; R1 and R2 are alkyl or aralkyl; R3 is alkyl; when n is 1, R4 is alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, aralkenyl, aryl or a polyether radical having up to 10 ether groups; and when n is 2, R4 is alkylene, aralkylene, alkenylene, aralkenylene, arylene or a divalent polyether radical having up to 10 ether groups. The compounds are highly efficacious organic photoconductors for use in electrophotography, exhibiting improved pre-exposure fatigue resistance and blooming properties as compared with known photoconductors. Photoconductive elements containing these compounds are also described. |
