abstract ABSTRACT A marine propulsion unit having a housing exposed to sea water and subject to attack by the sea water is provided with a permanent type anode housing substantially constant surface characteristics mounted on the housing and supplied with constant voltage. Holes under the anode through the housing to interior passages permits the current on the anode to influence and protect the passages.
