| abstract |
Abstract An agent for the treatment of wounds comprises in the range of from 1 to 4 % by weight of a graft copolymer of starch and hydrolysed polyacrylonitrile, of which in the range of from 5 to 90% of the carboxy groups have been neutralised with aluminium, in an aqueous solution containing in the range of from 2 to 50 % by weight of a di- or poly-hydroxyalkane, has a strong imbibing or wicking action and encourages rapid healing of a wound to which it is applied. |
