titleOfInvention Process and apparatus for heating liquid media
abstract Abstract Liquid media, especially used oils, are heated by radiation energy, especially IR rays. For this purpose IR radiators (5) are installed in a vessel (1). Insulating tubes (4) prevent the transfer of heat by convection or conduction from the radiator (5) to the medium. Used oil can thereby be cracked without undesirable deposits forming on the tubes of the IR radiators.
