abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to novel spergualin-related compounds and to a process for the production thereof. The novel compounds, which have a high antitumor activity, are represented by the general formula (I) wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, or an alipllatic acyloxy group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms. R2 represents the residue of an .alpha.,.omega.-amino acid, other than a residue of .alpha.-hydroxyglycine, linked by acid amide groups to the adjacent carbonyl and amino groups, and m is 4, 5, or 6.
