abstract ABSTRACT Compounds of the general formula: and stereoisomers thereof; wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a haloalkyl group and a haloalkenyl group each of 1 to 6 carbon atoms and a group, a group or a group; wherein n is an integer of 2 to 5 and R4 represents a methyl group, a methoxy group or a chlorine atom; and R3 represents a group, a group, a group, a group, a group or a group; wherein X represents an oxygen atom or a vinylene group; R5 represents an allyl group, a propargyl group, a benzyl group, a phenoxy group or a 2,2-dichlorovinyloxy group, R6 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or a halogen atom; R7 represents a hydrogen atom, a cyano group, an ethynyl group or a trifluoromethyl group; m is an integer of 1 to 2; R8 represents an allyl group or an alkadienyl group; Y represents an oxygen atom or a methylene group; R9 represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an allyl group or a halogen atom and R10 represents a methyl group or a halogen atom are disclosed. These compounds are more stable to oxidation by light than conventional pyrethroids and have effective but specific insecticidal activity. Methods for preparing the compounds and synergists for the insecticidal effect of the compounds are also disclosed.
