abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to cycloaliphatic derivatives of substituted pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidines of formula wherein n is 1 or 2, R1 is typically a carboxyl group, R2, R3 and R4 are typically hydrogen atoms, A completes a bond or is a methylene group and R is a furyl, thienyl, pyridyl, phenyl or substituted phenyl group, and the pharma-ceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds are useful for prevention and treatment of diseases in which inflammatory or anaphylactic mediators are involved, for example allergic affections and inflammatory diseases. They are useful in treatment of, for example, allergic rhinitis, hay fever, urticaria, dermatitis, allergic bronchial asthma, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. They also have anti-ulcerogenic and anti-secretory activity and are therefore useful, for example, in the prevention and treatment of peptic ulcers. |
