| abstract |
ABSTRACT A method for the removal of thyroid hormones from human serum comprises flowing, at a pressure higher than 1 psi, the serum through a column containing a composite sheet, the composite sheet comprising a matrix of self-bonding fibers having interdispersed therein carbon particles, such that better than 90% of the carbon particles have an average diameter less than about 50 microns, thereby removing the thyroid hormones from the serum. |
