Abstract of the Disclosure: A process for obtaining a conjugated diolefin from a mixture of C4 or C5 hydrocarbons which contains this diolefin, by single-stage or multi-stage extractive distillation using a selective solvent and recycling the latter to the extractive distillation, after it has been obtained from the stripping zone down-stream from each extractive distillation, a bleed stream of the recycled selective solvent being regenerated in a solvent purification stage in which the high-boiling or non-volatile impurities present in the solvent are separa-ted off, and the regenerated solvent obtained from the solvent purification stage also being recycled, which process comprises regenerating the solvent in a thin-film evaporation zone. |
