abstract ABSTRACT A photosensitive plate suitable for the preparation of a dry lithographic printing plate comprises a support material and a photosensitive layer provided thereon. The photosensitive layer is made of a photosensitive composition comprising an emulsion polymerization product of an acrylic or methacrylic monomer having a perfluoroalkyl group in the side chain and a water-soluble photosensitive substance resin whose water-solubility is variable by irradiation with ultraviolet rays. The invention avoids need for the dampening water (and the attendant disadvantages) normally required in association with a lithographic printing plate.
