titleOfInvention Process for production of l-aspartic acids using immobilized microorganisms
abstract Abstract of the Invention Disclosed herein is a hydrophilic polyether polyurethane foam wherein at least 50 mole % of the alkylene oxide units in the polyether segments of the polyurethane are ethylene oxide, said foam having an aspartase-producing microorganism immobilized therein. Also disclosed is a method for preparing the foam and utilizing the foam to prepare L-aspartic acid from substrates comprising fumarate ion.
