titleOfInvention | Process for preparing an inoculum containing dehydrated microorganisms and enzymes useful for the maintenance of septic tanks and the like, and inoculum thus prepared |
abstract | PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: Conventionally these inocula include cultures of selected microorganisms, put into lethargy by dehydration, enzymes capable of lysing organic matter at long chains, mainly lipase, amylase, protease and cellulase, and loads of excipients. The following process the invention consists in dehydrating cultures by addition a sufficient amount of hydrophilic molecular sieve, typically 4 to 8 times the weight of cultures in media aqueous, add the enzymes then a non-ionic dispersant powder such as a condensate of stearoyl alcohol with a polyethylene oxide with about 50 units. Preferably the cultures are carried out by sowing preferably the a separate strain, and incubation, the different cultures being mixed extemporaneously at the time of dehydration. |
