titleOfInvention Production of chemical paper stock, and product thus made
abstract PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: Process for the preparation of chemical pastes in which chips of wood in an alkaline liquor containing a sulfur compound, characterized in that this temperature cooking is stopped when the chips have a residual lignin level corresponding to a Kappa index between 45 and 100 for softwoods, and 30 and 50 for hardwoods, then by mechanically defibrating the chips thus treated, and finally in that we finish cooking these chips defibrated by means of an alkaline solution containing from 0.1 to 1.5% peroxide based on the dry weight of the fiberized material. The process of the invention makes it possible to obtain a kraft dough a better cost and yield without increasing the pollution rate compared to known methods.
