abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Biologically active 8-aza-16,16-difluoro-prostanoids having the formula: wherein A is CH=CH (cis or trans), C?C, or CH2CH2; R is H, C1-C12 n-alkyl, branched chain alkyl, or cycloalkyl, or a physiologically acceptable metal or amine salt cation; R1 is H, CH3, or C2H5; R2 is CH3, CF3, phenyl, or mono- or di-substituted phenyl, the phenyl sub-stituents being selected from the group F, Cl, CH3, OCH3, NO2, and CF3; n is an integer from 3 to 8 when R2 is CH3 or CF3, or from 0 to 2 when R2 is phenyl or substituted phenyl; as racemic stereo isomer mixtures, or single or mixed optically-active stereo isomers. |
