abstract |
ABSTRACT A raster scanner and method for operating a raster scanner in which there is provided a calibration strip for scanning by the scanner arrays. The calibrating signals are compared to a reference by a comparator to produce a corrective signal which is stored in memory. Multiple pro-cessing modes are provided with the corrective signals used in all modes to adjust the video signal output level. A separate processing channel is provided for each array with a switch to switch the channels into a single output. The scan carriage acceleration/deacceleration is control-led through a frequency generator programmed in response to detected movement of the scan carriage. |
