ABSTRACT The invention relates to a process to produce compounds represented by the general formula Y-(CFRf)a-(CFR?)b-O-CF=CF2 by decarboxylation of compounds represented by the general formula where a = 0-3; b = 0-3; provided a + b = 2 or 3; Y = an acid derivative; X = C1, I, or Br; M = OR, F, C1, Br, I, OA; A = alkali metal, alkali earth metal, a quaternary nitrogen and hydrogen; R? and Rf are independently selected from the group consisting of F, C1, perfluoroalkyls and fluorochloroalkyls R = an alkyl having one or more carbon atoms or an aryl. |
