ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION This invention provides an improved oxydehydrogenation process for the production of tertiary-butylstyrene which involves the contacting of a vapor phase mixture of tertiary-butylethylbenzene and oxygen with a novel coprecipitated nickel-cerium phosphate catalyst composition. The tertiary-butylstyrene is produced with a high conversion selectivity, and concomitantly there is little or no dialkenylbenzene byproduct formation. |
