abstract |
AQUEOUS PROTEIN SOLUTIONS STABLE TO DENATURATION Abstract of the disclosure: To prevent the denaturation of proteins in aqueous pro-tein solutions at interfaces a surface-active substance with chain-like basic structure the members of which have weakly hydrophobic and weakly hydrophilic zones in alternating ar-rangement is added to the said solution. The invention also relates to the treatment of surfaces with the said surface-active substances and to the handling and purification of proteins. The preferred protein is insulin. |
