titleOfInvention Monofilament of improved fluoride-based resin
abstract MONOFILAMENT OF IMPROVED FLUORIDE-BASED RESIN Abstract of the Disclosure The specification discloses a flexible monofilament prepared by melt-spinning a resin composition consisting essentially of 100 parts by weight of vinylidene fluoride based resin, 1-30 parts by weight of a poly(methyl acrylate) and/or a copolymer of at least 85 percent by weight of methyl acrylate and up to 15 percent by weight of isobutylene, and 0-10 parts by weight of a polyester as plasticizer. The monofilament can be used as a fishing line, in which case it has the same advantages of nylon line without the disadvantages of low specific gravity and water absorbency that nylon line has.
