abstract |
A dry electric cell of the Leclanche type having a cathode mix which includes (i) MnO2 having a .beta.-crystal structure, and (ii) either hetaerolite (Zno.Mn2O3) or materials which enable hetaerolite to be generated in situ at a sufficiently rapid rate so that it constitutes the major discharge product even at moderate to high rates of discharge. |
