abstract ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel alkoxyphenylpyrrolidones of the formula I (I) in which R1 repersents H or -OCH3, R2 and R3 each represents C1-C4-alkyl, -OH, C1-C6-acyloxy or C1-C3-alkoxy, m and n each represents 0, 1, 2 or 3 and A represents O or S or >N-R5 or > CH-R5 in which R5 represents H, , in which Y represents O, S or NH, , or , in which X represents H, C1-C4-alkyl or -alkoxy, Hal, -CF3, -O-CF3 or -NO2, and salts thereof ana processes for the manu-facture of such compounds. The alkoxyphenylpyrrolidones and salts thereof have a vasodilating and hypotensive action and may accordingly be made up into pharmaceutical preparations with suitable carriers.
