abstract | ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is disclosed for the production of steam-hardened gas concrete wherein calcium sulfate is added to a mixture of lime, cement and silicate-containing aggregate in an amount to provide a total sulfate content in the end product, expressed as SO3, from 2 to 5% by weight. At least a portion of the silicate component and the calcium sulfate are ground together. The end product results in excellent compressive strength. |
