abstract | PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: A polychloroprene latex is prepared by polymerization tion of chloroprene with possibly another monomer polymerizable, in alkaline aqueous emulsion in the presence of agents emulsifiers and a free radical catalyst. According to the invention tion, 0.2 to 4 parts by weight per 100 are added to the emulsion parts of starting monomer of an amide of general formula (I) in which : R1 represents a C3-C18 alkyl or alkenyl radical, a radical aryl or an arylalkyl radical, the aryl and alkyl groups possibly be linked by a heteroatom; R2 and R3, identical or different, represent a hydro-linear C1 or C12 alkyl or alkenyl gene or branched, or an aryl radical or an arylalkyl radical, the groups aryl and alkyl which may be linked by a heteroatom, provided that when R2 = R3 = H, the carbon in .alpha. of group C = O is substituted by at least one group having a positive inductive effect and when R2 = H, R3 is an alkyl group and has at least two carbon atoms in the case where R1 does not have a group with positive inductive effect on carbon in .alpha. of group C = O of amide. The presence of such an amide makes it possible to obtain polychloroprene latex stabilized against aging. |
