titleOfInvention | Photographic materials suited for the production of colour separations |
abstract | Abstract of the Disclosure Photographic panchromatic black-and-white silver halide recording material suited for an improved contrast rendition in the production of red filter colour separation images for photomechanical colour reproduction, wherein said material contains two silver halide emulsion layers one of which has panchromatic sensitivity and the other has a blue sensitivity, said blue sensitivity being at density 0.3 at least 0.6 log I.t units higher than its green and red sensitivity considered separately, and wherein said both layers have a substantially identical threshold sensitivity to blue light, with the special characteristic that the spectral sensitivity of said material at 650 nm is at least 0.8 powers of ten lower than at 620 nm and the sensitivity beyond 650 nm diminishes further.
