abstract PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: The subject of the present invention is a method of preparation of .alpha., .beta.-ethylene aldehydes of general formula: in which R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8 and R9 represent identical hydrogen atoms or organic radicals or different, by hot reaction of an allyl alcohol of form general: with a compound comprising a double bond system conjugates, the latter being a dienoxytriorganosilane of formula general: in which R10, R11 and R12 represent hydro-carbonaceous. This process is particularly suitable for obtaining .alpha., .beta.-ethylene aldehyde with terpene structure such as citral, farnesal and sinensal.
