titleOfInvention Process for preparing cemented hard alloys based on tungsten carbide
abstract Abstract of the Disclosure Cemented tungsten carbides are produced by reducing tung-sten anhydride first to prepare tungsten dioxide at a tempera-ture ranging from 750 to 1,300°C and reducing thereafter the obtained tungsten dioxide to produce metallic tungsten at a temperature ranging from 1,000 to 1,600°C, the obtained metal-lic tungsten being carbidized at a temperature ranging from 1,800 to 2,000°C, the tungsten carbide being mixed with a bin-der metal, the obtained mixture being ground and pressed, and the cemented carbide being sintered. The invention permits obtaining an alloy whose plastic deformation is 2-4 times better than that of the known cemen-ted carbides.
