titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of acetal halides from esters |
abstract | PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: The invention relates to a preparation process. aldehyde haloacetals; of general formula (I) (I) in which X is chlorine, bromine or iodine, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5, identical or different, are hydrogen, alkyl, n is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 and R6 is alkyl. According to this pro-yielded we react a halogen cation Cl +, Br + or I + on a ester of general formula (II) (II) in which the symbols are defined as above and R is alkyl, in the presence of an alcohol R6OH. The products of general formula (I) are useful as synthetic agents in Organic chemistry; they can in particular be used for introduce an .alpha.,. beta.-ethylenic aldehyde motif on a residue mono or polyenic. |
