titleOfInvention | Quaternized polymers and process for their preparation |
abstract | PRECISION OF DISCLOSURE: New quaternized polymers chosen from the group consisting of: a) polymers based on repeating units represented by formula IIA: (IIA) in which A1 represents A, A being a group of formula x, y and t being whole numbers which can vary from 0 to 11 and such that the sum (x + y + t) is greater than or equal to zero or in-férioure at 18, and E and K representing a hydrogen atom or a aliphatic radical having less than 16 carbon atoms, or A1 represents a group of formula: - (CH2) n - O - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - S - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - S - S - (CH2) n-- (CH2) n - SO - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - SO2- (CH2) n -n being an integer equal to 2 or 3; X? is a derivative anion a mineral or organic acid; R'2 is aliphatic unradical having of? ? 20 carbon atoms, alicyclic or arylaliphat ??? e containing a maximum of 20 carbon atoms; B1 represents B, B being a group of formula: D and G being a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic radical having less than 18 carbon atoms and v, z and u being numbers integers that can vary from 0? 11, two of which can simultaneously be zero, such that the sum (v + x + u) be lower? 18, and such that the sum (v + z + u) is greater? 1 when the sum (x + y + t) is zero, or B1 represents a group of formula: or - (CH2) n - O - (CH2) n -; b) polymers? based on recurring patterns represented by formula IIB: in which A2 represents A as defined above, or else A2 represents a group of formula: - (CH2) n - O - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - S - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - S - S - (CH2) n -- (CH2) n - SO - (CH2) n -or R'3 representing an aliphatic, alicyclic or arylaliphatic containing a maximum of 20 carbon atoms, and n, X and B1 being defined as above; c) polymers based on repeating units represented with the IIC formula: (IIC) in which Z represents an oxygen atom or the group -CH2-; A3 represents A as defined above, or else A3 represents - (CH2) n - O - (CH2) n-; X and n are defined as previously. The polymers of formulas (IIA), (IIB) or (IIC) have interesting cosmetic properties when are introduced into cosmetic compositions applied to hair or on the skin. They are particularly usable, either as an additive or as the main active ingredient, in styling lotions, treatment lotions, styling creams or gels, either as an additive in compositions of shampoos, styling, perms, tinctures, restructuring lotions, lotions antiseborrhérique treatments, or hair sprays. |
