abstract ABSTRACT: The invention relates to an image sensor of the interline type with a light sensor part and a C.T.D. line separated herefrom. In general, the photocurrent generated in the sensor part is integrated for some time before being transferred to the C.T.D. line for reading out. The light sensor part comprises a receptor and an integrator which are separated from each other spacially. The receptor con-sists of a photodiode and serves mainly only to generate the photocurrent. The integrator consists of an adjoining MOS capacitance and serves to integrate the photocurrent. The receptor and the integrator can both be designed op-timally due to the spacial separation.
