titleOfInvention | Alkanesulfonamido triphenylethylenes |
abstract | ALKANESULFONAMIDO TRIPHENYLETHYLENES Abstract of the Disclosure Triphenylethylenes having an N-(dialkylaminoalkyl)alkane-sulfonamide substituent in the one of the phenyl rings may be prepared from similarly substituted benzophenones by reaction thereof with a benzyl Grignard reagent followed by dehydration of the resulting triphenylethanol intermediate and if desired chlorination or nitration of the resulting product. The triphenylethylene have estrogenic and post-coital antifertility action and are useful as intermediates for the preparation of other triphenylethylene compounds. |
